On January 19, Sky News published excerpts of minister Ben Wallace's speech at a press conference in Estonia. Earlier, the UK announced the transfer of the Challenger 2 to Ukraine. And today, Wallace said that tanks are not everything: the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also receive 600 Brimstone missiles. The Ukrainian side has already shown skill in handling these missiles and will continue to serve the freedom of Ukraine and the democratic world.
"This will be incredibly important in helping Ukraine dominate the battlefield."
“If Putin thinks we will get bored this year — he is wrong,” Ben Wallace. The minister added that the UK will continue to support Ukraine "this year, and the next year," and the UK "in it for the long haul".
According to Wallace, the Russian troops need to understand and accept the fact that they "pushed back, out of Ukraine", and the sovereignty of Ukraine will be restored.
"We're not going anywhere Mr Putin, we're in this for the long haul. We're standing by Ukraine. You need to recalculate, you need to make a change.
"You need to leave Ukraine."
