"The investment project envisages the construction of 20 farms with total livestock of 100,000 head of cattle, which will increase its industrial livestock in the country by 20%. The relevant project is included in the transformation plan of Ukraine, presented by president Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a working trip to the United States," the statement reads.
According to a government source, the list was prepared on the eve of Zelenskyy's visit to the United States. It will be recalled that during the visit the conditions of close cooperation between the two countries were discussed. In particular, the investing-in-ukraine/business-opportunities/agricultural/" rel="dofollow">agricultural sector is undergoing significant changes.
It should be noted that the investment plan provides for annual foreign direct investment of $250 million for the period 2022/25, which will be aimed at building 20 farms designed to keep 5,000 head of cattle in each.
According to the State Statistics Service, as of August 1, the total industrial livestock and livestock in households decreased by 6,4% compared to August 1, 2020 — to 3,2 million heads (including cows — by 5,9%, to 1,66 million goals).
