“Boosteroid” Cloud Gaming Service Launched in Ukraine

The "Boosteroid" company, together with the "Kyivstar" operator, has placed its servers in Kyiv. Cost — €50/year

One of the providers of cloud gaming in Europe, Boosteroid will open up new opportunities for Ukrainian players, because from the fall of 2021 they will be able to use cloud servers with minimal latency.

Why is it beneficial?

  • Almost all providers are unavailable for Ukrainian players. Servers such as GeForce Now, Playkey, Loudplay lead to increased latency and complicate the game process. This is due to the fact that the above providers are too far away and serve several countries at the same time;
  • Some services, such as Google Stadia, are generally not available in Ukraine without a VPN. Of course, you can use a VPN, but it significantly degrades the speed and increases the latency. The user's Internet connection requirements look quite modest. The Boosteroid editors report the following figures: 784 Mbps and a ping of 1 ms;
  • The provider guarantees the ability to run games in Full HD 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second;
  • Boosteroid, like other cloud gaming services, allows you to transfer the processing load of the game from the user's device to powerful remote servers. The process of transferring the gameplay from the server to the player's computer and back takes only a split second;
  • Such placement of servers in Kyiv will minimize delays and make the game more comfortable;
  • The Boosteroid library has more than 150 games that can be launched by connecting an account of various digital distribution stores (Steam, EGS, Origin, etc.) to the service.

Thus, the launch of cloud gaming servers in Kyiv is the first opportunity for Ukrainian gamers to actually use remote servers with a comfortable delay.
