“Bosch” Sold Its Factories in Russia

"Robert Bosch" sold the enterprises for the production of auto components and exited the market

In March 2022, it became known that Russia was using parts produced at Robert Bosch factories to produce military equipment, which were then sent to kill Ukrainians. In response to this crime, Robert Bosch announced the intention to leave Russia. The German company produced steering systems, ABS anti-lock systems and ESP dynamic stabilization systems in the Russian city of Samara. This enterprise was bought by the Russian company NAMI. The second Bosch plant is located in Engels and produces spark plugs. The buyer of this site and its components was also a local Russian company — S8 Capital.

"NAMI is buying up the assets of global automakers that left Russia after it invaded Ukraine. The Institute has already acquired factories previously owned by Renault, Nissan and Toyota," Reuters on the purchase of Robert Bosch.

The amounts of the contracts were not made public, but it is known that the cost of the Bosch plant under the contract with NAMI was symbolic.

Earlier, Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Mazda left Russia and sold its plant to Muscovy for €1.
