Katrin Goering-Eckardt, the Vice-President of the German Bundestag, commenced her visit to Ukraine on Monday, February 12

The agenda includes pivotal meetings aimed at bolstering parliamentary cooperation between Germany and Ukraine, discussing vital military and financial support, and observing the country's reconstruction efforts. During her visit, Goering-Eckardt will engage with the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and visit projects focused on rebuilding the nation.

Goering-Eckardt's visit underscores Europe's solidarity with Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of increased support during these challenging times. She highlighted the significance of reconstruction as a symbol of Ukrainian resilience and a message to Vladimir Putin that Ukraine's spirit remains unbroken, with European support steadfast.

The visit also brings attention to the humanitarian crisis, particularly the plight of Ukrainian children affected by the conflict. Goering-Eckardt called for concerted efforts to reunite these children with their families, stressing the urgency of addressing their situation.

In addition to her engagements in Kyiv, Goering-Eckardt's itinerary includes meetings with Ukrainian cultural figures and a visit to the historic city of Odesa.
