Business Insurance in Ukraine From USAID

USAID and Congress will cooperate in the field of assistance and insurance for Ukrainian and foreign businesses in Ukraine

On July 19, USAID administrator Samantha Power met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and found out that in addition to winning the war, it is paramount for Ukraine today to support its entrepreneurs.

Mrs Power announced her intention to work with Congress on a common project to provide Ukraine with $230 million to support small and medium-sized businesses. The funds will help Ukrainian enterprises to scale up and enter foreign markets, creating new jobs and strengthening the economy. Power noted that investors are afraid to come to Ukraine because of the war. To give them confidence, USAID will be responsible for providing profitable loans, credits, grants, and first-loss guarantees.

"And we will work together to attract more investment and more private sector involvement here in Ukraine, which is an investment in stability today and also in the future of the economy," Samantha Power.

Previously, USAID provided Ukraine with tons of energy equipment, sponsorship of Ukraine's aquaculture sector, and assistance in restoring the mental state of Ukrainians.
