Kyivstar is the largest telecom operator in Ukraine. On July 4, a memorandum was signed between the company president, Olexandr Komarov, and the minister of digital transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov. According to the terms of the memorandum, Kyivstar provides Ukraine with almost $100 million to "restore and modernize the digital infrastructure, strengthen the counteraction to information threats from the aggressor country and develop the cybersecurity of Ukraine."
The memorandum was signed during the UkrainianRecovery, which is currently taking place in Lugano. Investments and opportunities of Kyivstar will be included in the plan for the recovery of Ukraine until 2033, which was initiated by the United24 presidential program.
According to the CEO of Kyivstar and the minister, the main areas of cooperation between the company and the country are the implementation of tasks and the development of technologies as part of the United24 fundraising initiative. Cooperation between the private and public sectors is an essential condition for restoring the country's economy, ensuring security, deepening development, and, most importantly, bringing victory in the war against Russia closer.
