The press service of the government of Canada informed about the decision of the government officials to impose economic sanctions on Russian public figures. The new sanctions were due to Russian propaganda, which violates international peace and security and leads the world to a severe international crisis.

In the middle of the TV presenter Tina Kandelaki, actors Sergey Bezrukov, Dmitry Pieskov, and Vladimir Mashkov, TV presenter and journalist Nali Vagif Kizi Asker-Zadeh, assistant president of Russia Vladimir Medynskyi, "military correspondent" Oleksandr Kots. Also, one of the propaganda channels belonging to the Ministry of defence of Russia was included in the list of sanctions — Zvezda (Star in English — ed.).

"These persons help the Russian regime to undermine the principles of state sovereignty and are responsible for spreading false meetings, which are the reason for the unjustified war of the Russian regime," the Ministry of foreign affairs of Canada reported.
