On February 1, 2021, the European Commission reduced the validity of Covid vaccination certificates from a year to 9 months. This applies to certificates for tourism purposes in Europe.
Taking over the European experience, Ukraine also decided to reduce the certificate's validity period from 360 days to 270.
According to the deputy minister of health for digital development, Maria Karcevic, work on the changes has already begun.
“We are preparing the same decision at the level of Ukrainian legislation. It will be adopted tentatively this week. The validity of the certificates will be reduced to nine months,” said the Ministry spokeswoman.
We remind you that Ukraine has begun to provide booster doses of vaccines for its citizens. If earlier, the third vaccine could only be obtained by a representative of the maximum risk group (doctors, teachers, people over 60), now it is available to everyone. The condition is the presence of citizenship, the age of the majority, and a complete vaccination course.
