Russia's war against Ukraine has united not only Ukrainians — it has united the whole world. People from all over the world take to the streets every day for peaceful rallies to show Ukrainians, "We are with you." Actors, singers, and artists organize charity events, the proceeds of which are donated to help Ukraine and forced refugees. And we really understand that we are not alone.
The concert Save Ukraine for Ukraine took place in Birmingham on March 29, featuring Imagine Dragons, Nothing But Thieves, Fatboy Slim, Ed Sheeran, Salvador Sobral, Go_A, Jamala, and other world-famous celebrities. During the 2 hours of the concert, $16 million was raised, which will be donated to the humanitarian needs of Ukrainians.
A charity concert for the children of Ukraine will take place on March 30 in Warsaw. The money that each participant will pay for the ticket will be transferred to the UNICEF account and will go to the little Ukrainians.
The London auction took care of the largest children's hospital in Ukraine, Ohmadit. Banksy's world-renowned work, CND Soldiers, was sold at auction for £81.000. The starting price was £20.000. The buyer of the painting did not reveal his identity.
"Despite the active shelling and airstrikes of the Russian Federation, Okhmatdit specialists continue to remain in Kyiv to protect and treat children and the wounded who are being taken to hospital. Thanks to the dedicated work of the hospital, timely medical care is provided to patients in full, and the funds raised will ensure the continuation of this important work," said the organizers of the charity auction.
Russian singer Oxxxymiron organized 2 concerts in support of Ukraine Russians Against War. The singer raised about $75.000 for performances in Istanbul and London.
"We have one goal today — to raise as much money as possible. My songs today serve only as a tool to raise money and to show that Russians, in large numbers, are against the war. And not just against [in general] the war, but against this war," Oxxxymiron.
We look forward to repeating the performance from Marina Abramovich.
