On the morning of January 19, the president of the European Council Charles Michel arrived in the capital. According to the EUC representative, he plans to meet with president Volodymyr Zelenskyy and parliamentarians.
"Back in Kyiv to discuss all strands of cooperation. May 2023 be the year of victory and peace," Charles Michel on Twitter.
The politician also visited wounded Ukrainian veterans in a rehabilitation centre: "Ukraine is unbreakable," the EUC president added.
"Meaningful talks with the president of the European Council Charles Michel. Ukraine and the European Union have already achieved significant results in our historic rapprochement. We are working to achieve even more," Volodymyr Zelenskyy summed up the meeting with Charles Michel.
The president of Ukraine announced that the goal of Ukraine is membership in the European Union. And Ukraine is working fruitfully to achieve this goal.
"We have a great motivation, a great desire, and we are moving forward," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
At the end of the meeting, the president of Ukraine presented Michel with a memorable gift in gratitude from Ukraine — a sign Walk of the Brave.
"Charles Michel, thanks for all the help and strong support! Ukraine greatly appreciates it," Zelenskyy.
