This was reported by Silk Bridge, referring to a question that arose back in 2020. According to the investigation, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade found that China made steel supplies to Ukraine at dumping prices. From now on, anti-dumping prices for painted metal and wires are set for products from China. It is reported that the document will enter into force in September.
The term introduced anti-dumping duties for 5 years. The amount of additional tax to the cost of duty should not exceed 30.7-48.14%. The amount of payment will depend on the manufacturer and trader.
In addition, fixed export taxes can be introduced for Chinese cold-drawn and cold-rolled pipes. An anti-dumping investigation is underway. Ukrainian plant Interpipe Nico Tube filed a complaint about dumping prices of China. The ICIT has already collected evidence of dumping by Chinese manufacturers.
It should be noted that this practice regarding steel products for Ukraine is unique. Usually, introducing anti-dumping duties is not required because all of Ukraine's partners have quota and duty programs.
