Former Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi made a statement at the Munich Security Conference about the need to end the war. Beijing proposes adhering to the UN Charter and focusing on ending the war through dialogue. At the same time, the politician stressed that the war and other conflicts began due to the lack of compliance with the rules of the United Nations.
However, it is worth noting that the former head of the Ministry of foreign affairs also declared the incorrect imposition of unilateral sanctions and pressure. According to him, this leads to difficulties around the world. Recall that Beijing never opposed the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The text of the declared "peace plan" has already been published on the website of the Chinese Ministry on 24 February. According to the document, China proposes to lift sanctions against Russia and respect the sovereignty and independence of countries. These actions, according to Beijing, should lead Ukraine and Russia to a settlement of the conflict. By the way, the document does not have the term "war". China chose to name the year of Russian attacks, the year of Ukrainian confrontation and defence of its territories – "Ukrainian crisis" and "conflict".
