According to Colonel Vadym Sukharevskiy, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Ukraine has become the world’s fifth country to develop its own “Trident” laser weapon system.

“Laser technology is already able to hit certain objects at a specific height,” Colonel Sukharevskiy revealed. This breakthrough is part of a broader research and development initiative under the command, focusing on several key areas. Among these is the challenge of neutralizing enemy aircraft—particularly unmanned aerial systems and so-called “Shahed”-type drones.
