Rinat Akhmetov stated that his plants in Mariupol would not operate under occupation under any circumstances.
Akhmetov's two plants, Azovstal and Mariupol metallurgical plant named after Ilyich are located in the city engulfed in hostilities, employing about 40,000 people. According to Akhmetov, both plants are under the control of Ukraine, but they are temporarily closed.
"Russian troops are turning Mariupol into ruins, killing Mariupol residents and bombarding factories... Under no circumstances will these factories operate under Russian occupation," Akhmetov said.
We remind you that on March 19, the Russians blew up the Azovstal plant.
