The project was first presented internationally during URC-2025 in Rome, where NovaSklo signed agreements with leading European equipment manufacturers Horn, Bottero and Zippe.
Why Float Glass Matters
Float glass (thermopolished glass) is the main material for modern windows, facades, and interiors.
-
Produced by pouring molten glass onto molten tin, ensuring perfectly flat surfaces, uniform thickness and no optical distortions.
-
Widely used in architecture, automotive industry and high-tech applications.
By localizing production, Ukraine will cut import dependence, stimulate the construction and housing market, and strengthen its role in European supply chains.
Global Partner: NSG Group
The NSG Group (Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. and subsidiaries, including Pilkington Technology Management Limited) is one of the world’s largest glass manufacturers, operating in 100+ countries. Its technologies are used in architectural, automotive, and specialty glass systems.
Outlook for Ukraine’s Construction Market
The NovaSklo float glass plant is expected to become:
-
A key industrial facility in Ukraine’s reconstruction strategy;
-
A regional hub for glass supply in Eastern Europe;
-
An anchor project attracting foreign investment into Ukraine’s industrial base.
