Contactless Delivery in Ukraine

Contactless delivery is not a new trend, but rather a forced measure developed and introduced by pandemic delivery services for customers

To use the service, customers check the order and pay for it in cashless form. Then the couriers contact the customers by phone and discuss where to leave the package. Most often, they leave the order at the door and leave – extra contact is excluded. The owners of the companies claim that the delivery time has been reduced by 10-15%, so the employees serve more customers.

Well-known services Uber Eats, Glovo, Door Dash, Instacart, Just Eat, Raketa, and other corporations took care of contactless delivery.

Contactless delivery was tested for the first time in China. The largest food supplier in the country Meituan debuted in this direction in Wuhan. By the beginning of last month, demand had grown by 80%. Then KFC, Pizza Hut, Ele. me, Starbucks, Mcdonald’s joined the corporation. In countries where this type of service is available, couriers wear masks and use antiseptics to disinfect their hands before and after each delivery.

To completely minimize the time spent interacting with another person, companies recommend using contactless Google Pay or Apple Pay cards.

The service has launched a chain reaction across the country. It was introduced by other retail chains, where the range includes clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, hygiene items, some equipment, repair materials, and tools.

In Ukraine, the most common method of contactless delivery is to have your courier, city delivery, or Nova Poshta delivery service.
