Credit Holidays to Pay Off External Debt Obligations of Ukraine

The National Bank of Ukraine is working on obtaining credit holidays in repayment of the country's external debt for the period of martial law

The National Bank of Ukraine published the financial stability report of Ukraine for June 2022. The total external assistance to Ukraine from friendly countries is about $30 billion. 75% — non-repayable grants, 25% — loans. Loans from the IMF, the EU, the EIB, the World Bank, and partner countries collectively exceed $7 billion.

"Actions are also being discussed for the introduction of holidays for Ukraine to pay the external debt," the National Bank of Ukraine.

We remind you that today Germany announced the provision of a grant of €1 billion to Ukraine.
