The office of the prosecutor general of Ukraine announces the completion of a court case involving 3 Ukrainian citizens who sided with Russia in this war. For infringement on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, treason, and participation in a terrorist organisation, these persons received 10, 13 and 15 years in prison.
The first of the prisoners defected to Russia in 2015. He joined the ranks of the soldiers of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" and shot down Ukrainian planes, and also shot the settlements of the region.
The second joined the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" in 2019 as a hired anti-aircraft gunner. He helped the Russian army seize territories in the Yasinovatsky district (a few kilometres from Donetsk).
The last of them fought on the side of the "LPR" since February 2022. He killed soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. That is, their compatriots.
