To ensure additional protection of Kyiv, the command of the Land Forces of Ukraine decided to create a river division.
"At the initiative of the commander of the Land Forces, we formed a joint division of military boats in the north of the Dnipro to provide support to the Land Forces in the riverine operational areas," said the commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksii Neizhpapa.
The Ukrainian Navy plans to expand the Kyiv division into an all-Ukrainian flotilla in the near future. Military boats will be completed and purchased and placed in various cities of Ukraine. Foreign partners will help Ukraine in this.
