Of this, $349.3 million will be allocated for air defense systems, with additional funds designated for F-16 fighter jets. This marks Denmark's 18th aid package for Ukraine.
"In the military aid package, which is the 18th from Denmark, the emphasis will be on both air defense and artillery, which Ukraine desperately needs. In addition, we are investing in the Ukrainian defense industry and allocating additional funds for F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine, which it can receive in the summer of 2024," said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

"The situation in Ukraine is very serious. Ukrainians need constant and massive support from allies. With this package, we are sending an unequivocal signal both to Ukraine and to the outside world. We are helping now and are ready to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry for the long term," Poulsen emphasized.
For the period 2023-2028, Denmark has allocated about $6 billion in military support to the fund for Ukraine. Additionally, in May 2024, Denmark announced the transfer of $36 million in humanitarian aid.
