The State statistics service reported that from January to June 2023, the demand for new buildings in the country compared to the same period of the last year increased by 1.4 times – up to 3.59 million m². This is 44.200 apartments, which is 61% more in 2022. Of these, 9.900 apartments in single-family houses, 36.200 multi-room apartments.
New buildings are put into operation in all regions of Ukraine, except for those where there are active hostilities. Thus, in 3 regions there was no active development and sale of apartments. Other regions are developing the sphere of housing. Thus, the official figures of the largest areas with houses put into operation look like this:
- Kyiv region and Kyiv – 1.1 million m²;
- Vinnitsa region – 459.200 m²;
- Lviv region – 340.000 m²;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 246.700 m²;
- Transcarpathian region – 176.300 m².
The development of construction in Ukraine continues even during the war. This is necessary both to maintain financial stability and development of the country and to provide housing for people. Recall that the Russians have already deprived the homes of Ukrainians from the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Dnipro regions. Invaders continue to destroy houses every day, even in cities that are far from the front.
