A representative of the Ministry of community development, territories and infrastructure of Ukraine and the EBRD team discussed the development of Danube ports. Due to the Russian blockade of the Black sea ports, the responsibility for ensuring global food security was transferred to the Danube hub.
The minister of infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, informed the head of the bank, Odile Renaud-Basso, that the development of Danube navigation will bring benefits not only to Ukraine but also to Moldova and Romania. The main issues for the transformation of the Danube ports into a powerful export-import cluster are currently the increase of throughput and operational dredging.
Currently, the Ministry of infrastructure and the EBRD are jointly implementing projects of Ukrainian road connections with the EU, projects of Ukrposhta and Ukrzaliznytsia.
