Today, a delegation of the British ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons, Canadian ambassador Larisa Galadza-Cronin and diplomat of the Swedish embassy Maria Lindgren Saltanova arrived in Kharkiv. They were accompanied by the minister of reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, and the mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Teryekhov.
The group walked through one of the largest cities in Ukraine, which the occupiers mercilessly bombard with drones and missiles, destroying cultural and residential infrastructure.
"I travelled to Kharkiv with Canada and Sweden to see stabilisation projects we have funded. Moving beyond words. People are determined and patriotic in equal measure. Getting on with recovery and rebuilding. Helping each other. And working for an end to the Russian invasion," Melinda Simmons.
After a tour of the city, the states' representatives discussed the region's situation and the issue of mine clearance in Ukraine.
