DocPort Goes Live in Odesa Sea Port

Digital documentation platform cuts vessel-handling time, raises throughput, and removes paper bottlenecks

1. Roll-out Status

  • New site: Odesa Sea Port—following earlier deployments in Reni, Izmail, and Chornomorsk.

  • Lead agency: Ministry of Development and Trade.

2. Core Functionality

  • End-to-end electronic document flow among port authority, terminal operators, forwarders, carriers, and state bodies.

  • Real-time integration with Ukraine’s Single Window for International Trade.

3. Business Impact

Efficiency Gain Detail
1–6 hours saved per vessel call, via faster paperwork processing
Departure docs accelerated electronic sign-off replaces manual stamping
Transparency digital signatures from responsible parties
+3–5 % capacity throughput increase without new infrastructure
Open API quick onboarding for additional stakeholders
Queue management automated truck-entry scheduling to eliminate congestion

4. Roadmap

  • Pivdennyi Port, Jun–Jul 2025: launch of a marine module enabling electronic data exchange between shipping agents and coastal services.

  • Ongoing enhancements to extend DocPort’s feature set across the national port network.

With DocPort now operational in one of Ukraine’s largest gateways, the port community gains a unified digital platform that shortens turnaround times while enhancing compliance and visibility.
