DTEK Enhances Oil and Gas Exploration with Stryde Wireless Seismic System

DTEK has made a strategic acquisition to improve the efficiency of oil and gas exploration and development

The energy conglomerate has purchased the Stryde wireless system for seismic research, marking a significant advancement in exploration technology. This innovative system allows for deeper exploration, enhances forecast accuracy, and eliminates the need for heavy cargo equipment. Already in use at a field in the Poltava region, the Stryde system has demonstrated its effectiveness by streamlining operations and reducing the reliance on bulky machinery.

DTEK Naftogaz, part of the DTEK group, reported a natural gas production of 2 billion cubic meters in 2022 and plans to invest $120-130 million in 2023 to bolster gas production efforts. A substantial portion of this investment will be directed towards the development of new deposits, following the company's successful acquisition of rights to develop two gas fields in the Poltava region during an open auction in November 2022. This strategic move underscores DTEK's commitment to enhancing energy independence and efficiency through the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
