€1.2 Billion Have Been Allocated For Ukraine

The EU invests in a support of Ukraine’s macroeconomic and financial stability

The European Commission has proposed a new macro-financial program worth €1.2 billion for Ukraine. The parties should further support this decision to the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament. After that, a meeting will be held with representatives of Ukraine to conclude a memorandum on a loan agreement for financial support for Ukraine.

The first tranche of €600 million is planned to be provided to Ukraine when the agreements are reversed. The disbursement of the second tranche of €600 million will depend on the progress demonstrated by Ukraine in implementing the agreements between the parties to the reforms.

Assistance to Ukraine is provided to maintain macroeconomic and financial stability.

It will be recalled that since 2014, the European Union has provided Ukraine with more than €5 billion to support and finance various types of programs for reforms and macro-financial assistance.
