Emergency Disconnection of the Last Power Line of ZNPP

On October 17, due to Russian shelling of the critical infrastructure of Ukraine, the last external power line of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe stopped again

Energoatom reports that due to the Russian fire against critical sectors of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, Ukraine's last external power line was disconnected. Due to a voltage drop, the power transformer for the station's needs was turned off, resulting in the diesel generators being turned on at the station.

"Today, October 17, Russian terrorists once again fired at substations of critical infrastructure in the territory under the control of Ukraine, as a result of which the last 750 kV communication line of ZNNP — Dniprovska was disconnected at 03:59," Energoatom.

We remind you that Ukraine repaired this line just 3 days ago, on October 14. This trend is unchanging: Ukrainian engineers maintain the integrity and safety of the ZNPP while the Russians bombard it again and again, thus creating all the conditions for a technogenic disaster.

For more than 30 years of operation, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant under the control of Ukraine has never been shut down by accident. And under the Russian occupation since March 4, this situation has been repeated 7 times already. The Russians have created a military base on the territory of ZNPP, the workers have been taken prisoner, and most of the power units have been connected to the Russian power grid.

We remind you that on October 10, the occupiers kidnapped the deputy general director of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, and on September 30 — the general director.
