Energy Support Fund Contributions Surpass €1 Billion, Funds to Restore Energy Infrastructure Damaged by Russia

Donor commitments to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine have exceeded €1 billion, according to Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko

These funds will be directed towards restoring the national energy infrastructure, which has sustained severe damage due to Russian attacks.

“The resources of the Energy Support Fund are allocated to rebuild energy infrastructure destroyed by Russia and to address communities’ urgent needs for reliable electricity supply,” Galushchenko stated.

He extended gratitude to international partners for their solidarity and ongoing assistance in securing the necessary equipment and organizing procurement, praising the Energy Community Secretariat for its pivotal role in these efforts.

The Fund’s donors include both public and private sectors from almost all EU member states, as well as the United Kingdom, the United States, and various international and regional organizations. This broad coalition of support exemplifies the unified international response to help Ukraine maintain and restore its critical energy systems amid wartime challenges.
