Estonia Sends Medical Aid to Ukraine: Details of the New Package

Estonia provides fully equipped ambulances and essential medical supplies to Ukraine

Ukraine has received a new package of humanitarian aid from Estonia, which includes five fully equipped ambulances and a range of critical medical equipment. This aid package is a testament to Estonia's ongoing support as a reliable ally of Ukraine.

According to reports by ERR, the medical equipment provided includes electric aspirators, defibrillators, drug dosing and administration devices, stretchers, vacuum medical mattresses, and more. Raul Adlas, the chief physician of the Tallinn Ambulance Service, highlighted that since the beginning of the war, Tallinn has sent a total of 11 fully equipped ambulances to Kyiv.

The ambulances sent were previously used by the Tallinn Ambulance Service until 2023, after which they were replaced with newer models. This aid is part of a broader effort to support Ukraine's healthcare infrastructure amid ongoing conflict.

Additionally, it was recently announced that Ukrainian cities would receive 68 large generators for critical infrastructure from the European Union. Earlier, Estonia had also transferred Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, further solidifying its role as a key defense partner.

On July 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Estonia's new Prime Minister, Kristen Michal, emphasizing that Estonia remains one of Ukraine's most steadfast allies. Notably, Estonia's annual defense support for Ukraine continues to be significant, equating to 0.25% of its GDP.
