On January 2, a telephone conversation took place between Ursula von der Leyen and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. One of the topics of the dialogue was the supply of energy-saving lamps and generators to Ukraine, as well as buses for Ukrainian schoolchildren and modular homes for internally displaced Ukrainians. It is worth noting that this was the first official international call from Ursula von der Leyen this year.
As a result of the negotiations, it was decided that the Ukraine-EU summit in 2023 would take place not in Brussels but in Kyiv. The summit will be held at a high level and for the first time Ukraine will take part as a candidate member of the European Union.
We remind you that soon Ukraine will start receiving a European tranche of €18 million.
