European Commission Vice President Visits Ukraine, Emphasizes EU’s Unwavering Support

Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice President of the European Commission, made a significant visit to Ukraine on March 8, reinforcing the European Union’s solid support in light of Russia’s brutal and unlawful aggression

Dombrovskis commended Ukraine's bravery and determination, noting that the Ukrainian people have definitively chosen their path, irrespective of Russia's aspirations. This visit underscores the EU's continued commitment to Ukraine through various support measures, including 13 rounds of sanctions against Russia, along with substantial military and humanitarian assistance. Although the EU faced challenges in delivering the promised one million shells to Ukraine by March 2024, it is actively working to increase ammunition production to meet future targets of 1 million units per year by this March and 2 million by 2025.
