Expansion of South Korea’s Sanctions Against Russia and Belarus

Korea expanded the list of goods prohibited for export to the specified countries to 798 items

The South Korean news portal Yonhap published information on the expansion of the list of Korean-made industrial goods to Russia and Belarus. Since April 28 of this year, 798 goods have been under the export ban, including metal, chips, chemicals, semiconductors, computers, etc.

Previously, the list of goods that will no longer be on the Russian-Belarusian market consisted of 57 items. The decision to increase the sanctions pressure was dictated by the active use by the aggressor country of the above-mentioned goods for military purposes against Ukraine.

Additionally, Korea's Ministry of сommerce will conduct a detailed investigation into the export exemptions.
