Ukraine’s export control authority issued a permit on July 1 for a batch of F10 strike unmanned aircraft systems produced by F-Drones for the United States Armed Forces. The manufacturer describes it as the first known Ukrainian authorization for exporting complete domestically produced combat UAV systems to the US military.
A permit for complete systems
The decision covers finished unmanned aircraft complexes rather than separate technologies, components or parts. It was based on a decision of the interagency commission responsible for military-technical cooperation and export control.
Contract under Drone Dominance
US representative UDD Tech Corp presented the F10 during Gauntlet I at Fort Benning, Georgia. The system ranked sixth among 25 participants, entered the group of 11 winners and received a contract to supply 2,000 drones to the US Department of Defense. It was also selected for the next stage.
Export as a route to scale
For F-Drones, external orders can expand production, attract investment, improve quality standards and deepen international cooperation. Export capacity does not automatically reduce supply for Ukraine if manufacturing grows and domestic defense requirements remain protected.
A precedent before simplified rules
The permit was granted before new government decisions simplifying wartime exports of military products took effect. Its execution will therefore be watched as an early test of how Ukrainian combat-proven manufacturers can enter allied procurement programs while complying with security, intellectual-property and end-user controls.
