Mechanised brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh — Prince of Kyivan Rus in 1113 – 1125 AD. He was born in the Kyiv region, Pereyaslav town. The period of his reign was marked by the strengthening of the unification of the lands of Kyivan Rus and the restoration of peace among individual principalities. By the way, Pereyaslav still exists and is located 87 km from Kyiv.
