A first under the support program
Ukraine's government has for the first time allowed duty-free and VAT-free import of equipment under a special investment agreement. The right was granted to Feednova Center, a Cherkasy region company producing feed for agricultural animals.
What the project receives
The investor will be exempt from import duty worth about 7.8 million hryvnias and VAT on equipment imports exceeding 45 million hryvnias. The project also includes income tax benefits and compensation for engineering and transport infrastructure.
Feednova Center is reconstructing non-residential buildings for production of high-protein feed additives and animal fats. The support is part of the Made in Ukraine policy for projects with significant investments, available from EUR 12 million in eligible sectors.
Industrial logic
The case matters because it turns state support into a practical tool for production investment. Feed ingredients, animal fats, organic fertilizers and biodiesel inputs are all tied to deeper processing. For regions, such projects mean new capacity, jobs and stronger links between agriculture and manufacturing.
