Finland Dispatches 22nd Military Aid Package to Ukraine Valued at €190 Million

Finland has announced the dispatch of its 22nd military aid shipment to Ukraine, with a value of 190 million euros

This package includes items produced by Finnish manufacturers, highlighting the country's commitment to supporting Ukraine amidst its ongoing conflict. The Finnish Ministry of Defense emphasized that the aid is aligned with Ukraine's needs and Finland's defense resource capabilities, although specific details about the shipment's contents and delivery have been withheld for security reasons.

A significant portion of this aid package involves products directly purchased from Finnish companies, with a dedicated budget of 30 million euros for these acquisitions. Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hakkianen mentioned the robust expertise within Finland's domestic industry, particularly in ammunition production, underscoring efforts to utilize this expertise in support of Ukraine. Finland is also actively developing a long-term support plan for Ukraine and has joined the artillery and demining coalitions under the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. The total value of Finland's defense material support to Ukraine now stands at 1.8 billion euros.
