On September 9-10 in New Delhi was held the G20 summit. The White House website published an interview with Joe Biden in Hanoi, the main points of which were relations with China and Vietnam, sustainable development, health care and improvement of life worldwide, security and education, and, most importantly for us, Ukraine.
Answering journalists' questions, Joe Biden emphasised that there is general support among the G20 participants for international peace based on the UN Charter and Ukraine's right to defend its sovereignty and integrity.
"We've also discussed Russia's brutal and illegal war in Ukraine. And there was sufficient agreement in the room on the need for a just — for a just and lasting peace that upholds the principles of the UN Charter and respects sovereignty and territorial integrity," president Biden.
Notably, this year on G20 was absent not only Putin but a representative of Russia in general. Probably, Lavron simply could not stand another "warm reception". Even though India has not ratified the Rome Statute and New Delhi, Putin would not have been arrested as a war criminal.
