G7 Priorities of Cooperation with Ukraine 

The ambassadors of the G7 countries named the priorities of cooperation with Ukraine for 2022: security, economy, energy

The first group contains items on judicial reform:

  • Proper reform of the High Council of Justice and ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the Ethics Council;
  • Ensuring the effective work of the Competition Commission for the selection of members of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges, preparing the ground for the activities of the restored HCJC;
  • Carrying out a comprehensive reform of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine;
  • Restructuring of the Kyiv District Administrative Court.

It also talks about anti-corruption and effective governance and institutions.

The group on efficient economy talks about supporting the National Bank, promoting Ukraine's cooperation with international financial institutions, fair land reform, transparent privatization of state-owned enterprises and banks, improving corporate governance in companies, and more.

The same group talks about the "green transition" and energy reforms.

Regarding security and defense, the implementation of the law on national security, transparency in procurement of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, reform of the Security Service (including separation from the functions of anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies) are envisaged.

Moreover, there is talk of reforming law enforcement agencies in accordance with international standards, supporting the launch of the newly established Bureau of Economic Security.
