On March 26, during the Contact group for the defense of Ukraine at the US military base, Germany announced in writing the transfer of restored anti-aircraft self-propelled guns from the Krauss-Maffei Wegmann warehouse. The company has already announced the possibility of transferring the upgraded Cheetahs. Previously, they were in the service of the ground forces of the Bundeswehr, and after they were disbanded, they were sent for an upgrade.
According to Reuters, the German parliament announced the possibility of transferring weapons on a round-robin basis with the participation of Eastern European countries: European countries transfer weapons to Ukraine, and Germany compensates weapons to these countries.
The ruling parties in Germany note that the provision of weapons to Ukraine should be carried out actively and meet the needs of Kyiv. However, providing Ukraine with weapons should not create a deficit in the FRG itself.
We remind you that on April 25, Rheinmetall Landsysteme sent Olaf Scholz a request to transfer 88 Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine.
