On the occasion of the opening of the technology hub in Kyiv, Glovo held a press briefing with the participation of service co-founder Sasha Misho, CTO Narek Verdyan, Glovo General Manager for Eastern and Central Europe Dmytro Rasnovsky, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Oleksandr Borniakov, Managing Partner GR Capital Maxim Filippov.
During the first round of the hub in Kyiv, the company plans to hire about 50 developers in various areas, increasing the team over time. Glovo is currently looking for a specialist for the position of technical hub manager in Kyiv, and soon there will be vacancies for the positions of frontend and backend engineers, full-stack developers, data engineers, and engineering team managers.
The courier delivery service has been operating in Ukraine since October 2018 and is already represented in the 32 largest cities of the country. In 2021, the service in Ukraine plans to open in new cities and expand partner networks. Recently, Glovo users were able to order delivery of goods from large networks of retailers ATB, pharmacies ANC and doc.ua, home appliances and electronics stores ELDORADO.
