According to the minister of foreign affairs Liz Truss, the United Kingdom aims to ensure food supplies to the surrounding Ukrainian cities. The country plans to provide aid of £2 million.
It is estimated that more than 12 million people across Ukraine are now in need of humanitarian assistance, and the actual figure is probably higher, according to the UK government's website.
Britain is also continuing its sanctions policy against Russia. Elizabeth Truss authoritatively states that sanctions should be lifted only if there is a complete ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops.
According to her, it is necessary to impose immediate sanctions in case of further aggression. This is a real lever that can be used against the occupiers.
