The charitable foundation of the American philanthropist Howard Buffett has been helping Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia in the country. During this time, the fund provided humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people and spent millions on the purchase of vital items for internally displaced persons.
Now, the Howard Buffett Foundation has participated in the creation of the world's first Food Train on behalf of Ukrzaliznytsia. The train consists of 6 railway carriages and has a length of 150 m. It has: a refrigerator carriage, a carriage with a hot and cold kitchen, a staff carriage, a luggage carriage. The content of the train works from a generator with a power of up to 400 kW, tanks for 27.000 l of water and a pumping station and its gas station.
Ukrainian Food Train will work 5-7 days and, if necessary, supply food in containers to customers in Ukraine. The train was created so that people could receive food in the absence of light. The world's first train-kitchen produces in a week 70.000 servings of food.
