Humanitarian Aid and Chinese Assistance to Ukraine

On March 21, the Chinese Ambassador to the United States announced China's intentions to help Ukraine de-escalate the situation.

China's ambassador to the US, Qin Gang, denied the possibility that the country would send weapons and ammunition to support Russia's war in Ukraine.

According to him, Beijing will "do everything" to de-escalate the situation. Any reports that Beijing may provide military assistance to Russia are disinformation, Gan said in an interview with CBS.

He also assured that instead of helping the aggressor country, China sends humanitarian aid to the victims in Ukraine — food, medicine, sleeping bags, and baby food.
