“Hyundai” Will Reconstruct “Boryspil” Airport in Ukraine

South Korean concern announces participation in Ukraine's post-war infrastructure and energy sector reconstruction 

Hyundai Engineering & Construction is going to build new runways and cargo terminals at the international airport Boryspil in the Kyiv region. Recall on February 24, 2022, Russia launched one of the first air strikes near this airport. Hyundai will use technology for airports in Ukraine used in international ports in Korea, Singapore, and Peru. The company's specialists have already started a feasibility study for cargo terminal construction, which will begin after the war is over.

In addition to resuming operations at Boryspil Airport, the South Korean concern joined other projects to revive Ukraine after the military attacks of the Russian armed forces. Recall that in Gostomel, the Kyiv region, were destroyed largest aeroplane Mriia and all Antonov's airfield with hangars and runways.

"Hyundai E&C will cooperate with Ukraine to rehabilitate not only the country's transport infrastructure, including airports and railway,s but also its energy infrastructure," Hyundai E&C CEO Yun Yong Joon.

It is reported that South Korea is preparing to allocate about $52 billion for the recovery of Ukraine.
