“Imagine Dragons” Sing About Ukrainian Boy

The clip "Crushed", filmed on real events in a front-line village in Ukraine, reflects the fate of all Ukrainians who lost everything iт the war

Imagine Dragons wrote the song and shot a video on it about a 14-year-old guy from the village of Novoрriрorovka, Mykolaiv region, Ukraine. The guy lived in occupation for 5 months. During this time, Russian soldiers left the child without a home and also destroyed the places where he played with friends and studied. The invaders killed neighbours of the guy. Sasha and his family were able to survive by hiding in a bunker underground.

The clip was shot by Ty Arnold, who works with popular artists. In the video, you can see the guy and real footage of the Ukrainian village, which was destroyed by the Russian army. The subtitles tell the story of 14-year-old Sasha.

"Sasha and his family lost everything. His story of survival is one of thousands. Like the others, Sasha and his family want to rebuild their home," stated in the subtitles of the clip.

The clip ends with words of support from the Imagine Dragons. They say that until the end of the war, they will stay with Ukrainian friends and help them. Recall that the Imagine Dragons are ambassadors of the Ukrainian United24 platform. This clip was released to support the project Rebuilding Ukraine, including the school building for 450 people.
