IMF Office Returned to Ukraine

On October 3, the IMF resident representative office resumed its work in Kyiv

Executive director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva announced in X the restoration of the local IMF team in Kyiv.

"I am delighted to announce the reopening of the IMF resident representative office in Kyiv as we further deepen our engagement with Ukraine," Kristalina Georgieva.

It is noteworthy that October 3 was the 587th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. By this time, almost all international organisations had restored their representative offices, embassies and businesses in Kyiv and other cities of our country. Probably, such endurance and the decision to return to Kyiv is another marker of how the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the International Legion within it succeed in the counter-offensive and make staying in our country as safe as possible under martial law.
