The IT industry has grown 46 times in the last 18 years, from $110 million in 2003 to $5 billion in 2021.
The pace of development of the IT sector in Ukraine is much higher than the pace of development of IT in the world. Its rate is about 20-25% per year.
There are more than 4.000 companies in the Ukrainian IT sector. More than 110 leading companies such as Microsoft, Apple, and Samsung have their centers and offices in Ukraine. In general, the IT sector in Ukraine is so successful due to the combination of powerful human resources, advantageous geographical location and time zone, strong technical and scientific base, and competitive costs.
Ukraine is twice ahead of the output of engineers and IT specialists than the United Kingdom and Poland. Every year, thousands of qualified IT professionals, most of whom speak English, complete their studies, and begin their professional IT careers.
Of course, Kyiv is the largest IT center in Ukraine. More than 1.000 invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/business-opportunities/startups/" rel="dofollow">startups have opened offices in this city. Successful innovative companies, such as Terrasoft, MacPaw, PetCube, Netpeak, Jooble, TemplateMonster, Grammarly, are emerging in Kyiv.
But it should be added that the IT sphere is developing not only in Kyiv. Accounts for IT centers are also available in such cities as Odesa, Lviv, Vinnytsia, and Dnipro.
In general, we can say that Ukraine has created all the conditions for the successful and rapid development of the IT industry.
