Ukrainian Ukrenergo, the gas transport system of Ukraine, Naftogaz, Ukrnafta, DTEK, Ukrhydroenergo and Energoatom, Italian Eni and Ansaldo Energia, as well as World Bank, EBRD and European Investment Bank, participated in the conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Rome. Participants discussed the development of the energy sector in Ukraine, decentralisation of energy generation sources, diversification of production centres and so on.
Preparations for the new heating season have started in Ukraine. In addition, it is expected that there will again be an electricity shortage in the summer. Therefore, Ukraine invites foreign investors and international organisations to join the restoration/development of the energy sector, hydrocarbon production, expansion of oil infrastructure, green energy, and so on.
"The Ministry of energy has created an opportunity for direct communication between the heads of Ukrainian energy companies, who presented their key indicators and investment projects for which they want to attract foreign capital," deputy minister of energy of Ukraine Farid Safarov.
To ensure foreign investment security, Ukraine continues to work on a comprehensive military asset insurance program and risk minimisation.
