According to The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, on July 22, an Israeli missile attack destroyed a military drone factory in Damascus. This is the exact same factory that spent decades perfecting its destructive technology and also providing its drones to rebels in Yemen.
SOHR claims that both the factory where drones were assembled using Iranian technology and the warehouse of finished products were destroyed. We remind you that Putin arrived in Damascus this week, and after his visit, Syria announced that it would supply Russia with drones. It is not surprising that one terrorist country assists another terrorist country. Obviously, the Iranian drones used by the Russians in the war against Ukraine would have aggravated the situation not only at the front but also for strategic infrastructure. Military analyst Samuel Bendett of the CNA believes the Russians would have used drones against Ukrainian power plants, oil depots and other critical infrastructure.
The training of the Russian military in handling Iranian weapons was supposed to begin this month. However, it is unlikely to start since the warehouse with ready-made drones for sale has been destroyed, and the production plant too. Whether Iran has a secret strategic reserve is unknown.
